We’re so excited to announce that we’ve signed two prolific LitRPG authors!

The first is the Amazon and Audible bestselling author of Delvers LLC, Blaise Corvin. He has signed with Aethon for a new 4-Book Series called Apocalypse Cultivation. Book 1 is due out in late 2021 or 2022.

About the series: The story follows the life of an adventurer named Jake in a setting similar to Shadowrun, where technology still exists, but so does magic. A tragic event called Violet Rain led to billions of deaths, civilization collapsing, and monsters roaming the planet. The danger of myths, legends, monsters, and portals to other worlds appearing on Earth has resulted in a surge of magical understanding and technological advancement.

The second is an Author who goes by Zogarth, who has been making waves with his web serial Primal Hunter. Already gaining massive popularity on sites like Royal Road and Patreon, Aethon will be revising and editing the series into book format, to be released in 2022.

About the series: On just another normal Monday, the world changed. The universe reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A world where power is the only thing that one can truly rely on. Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into this new world—into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunities. This new setting should breed fear and concern, but Jake instead finds himself thriving.

Gilbert Adler and Joel Eisenberg Sign TV and Film First-Look Deal with Aethon Books, Developing Rhett C. Bruno’s "The Roach"

Producing vet Gilbert Adler ("Valkyrie," "Superman Returns," "Constantine") and writer-producer Joel Eisenberg ("The Chronicles of Ara," "Then Again") have inked a first-look deal for the available Aethon Books library, a digitally focused publisher that specializes in the science fiction and fantasy genres, and also maintains a print distribution deal with Heavy Metal magazine.

First to be developed is "The Roach," from Nebula Award Nominated author Rhett C. Bruno. "The Roach," a mix of character-driven thriller and gritty superhero fare, follows Reese Roberts, who was once the guardian of Iron City until he was shot on the streets and left paralyzed from the waist down. When a copycat steals his identity and takes justice into his own hands, a new killer emerges, forcing the retired, disabled vigilante to stop the string of new killings and secure his legacy. Actor Lou Diamond Phillips called the book, "Gritty, grimy, and mesmerizing."

"The Roach" is being prepped as a multi-season episodic.

Aethon Books have made available the majority of their library to the producing team for film and television rights. They’re best known for publishing books by bestsellers such as Joshua Gayou, Paul Antony Jones, and Yudhanjaya Wijeratne. Their most recent big signings are a Sci-Fi Series by New York Times Bestseller Jonathan Maberry (writing with Weston Ochse), and a fantasy trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson.

"The Roach" is available in most online retailers, and also as an audiobook on Audible.com produced by Podium Audio. An extended paperback print-run in a partnership with Blackstone Publishing is due out later this year.

Aethon Books inks Three-Book Deal with Jonathan Maberry & Weston Ochse

We’re so thrilled to announce that we’ve signed Jonathan Maberry and Weston Ochse to a three-book deal for “THE SLEEPERS SERIES,” a space opera series with a strong military structure.

The plot of “The Sleepers” regards humanity creating teams of genetically enhanced super soldiers to defeat an army of invading aliens known as the Flock. But when the Flock is defeated and no longer needed, what will be done with them becomes humanity’s greatest question.

Aethon Books is honored to sign two prolific authors who have had such incredible careers. We plan to use our unique brand of marketing to help broaden the audience of our new signers as well as bring another tremendous work of science fiction to our readers.

The authors had this to say about choosing Aethon:

“Aethon has a terrific lineup of military sci-fi books and are plowing forward to conquer a big chunk of that market,” said Maberry. “And they’re having a lot of fun doing it. Sleepers has found the right home for sure.”

“The chance to partner with Jonathan Maberry has been one of my greatest wishes,” said Weston Ochse. “Working together, I am convinced that Sleepers is going to take the world by storm and I am extremely pleased that Aethon will helm its trajectory.”

Ochse is called “one of the major horror authors of the 21st Century” by the American Library Association. He’s won the Bram Stoker Award, been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and won four New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. From the imagination of actor Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba, Stargate Universe, Prodigal Son) comes an epic and unforgettable Science Fantasy tale.

Two worlds at war will bring them together... or tear them apart...

Everson didn't want to be a soldier. His parents forced him to serve, as all good Indiran men should. The only problem? His first battle against their mortal enemies goes horribly wrong and he winds up stranded on the enemy planet.

Now, Everson has to survive in this strange new land where everyone is out to get him. Not to mention, the planet Mano is covered in unforgiving desert. And he's the target of traitors who want to use him in a dastardly plot to overthrow their mad king, Xander the Firm, by having him retrieve a piece of mysterious and powerful ancient technology known as the Tinderbox.

But everything changes during a chance encounter with the king's daughter, Allegra. Despite her station, she's in as grave of danger from her own people as Everson is. And though their peoples have been at odds for centuries, an unlikely spark forms between them.

As their worlds come crashing down around them, their forbidden love might be the only chance to end this war forever. Or, it might just be the doom of everyone...

Imagine the intrigue of Game of Thrones mixed with the star-crossed romance of Romeo and Juliet... but in space! Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale of the same name, Soldier of Indira is perfect for fans of Outlander, Dune, Aurora Rising, and Stardust.

A string of killings. An identity stolen. Only he can find the truth.

Reese Roberts was the guardian of Iron City. Its fearless protector. The only one willing to do whatever it takes...until he was shot on the streets and left paralyzed from the waist down. Now, the vigilante known as the Roach has disappeared. Faded into legend.

It’s been years since Reese could take on crime and clean up the streets. He’s a shriveled old drunk, living like a hermit and waiting for his life to end. All that’s left to do is wallow in the mistakes that led him here. To wonder if he went too far.

But when a copycat steals his suit and takes justice into his own hands, a new killer emerges, leaving brutal messages behind. He wants to eliminate the Roach for good this time.

It’s time for Reese to re-emerge from his shell and fight back. Who else can stop the flurry of killings? Definitely not the corrupt police department. Iron City needs the Roach again. Only, this time, he’ll need to save it without his legs.
